The South African government has decided to outsource its collection of and reporting on the national timber industry statistics for the country. These statistics report on all the timber grown within the country and the roundwood timber processed domestically and exported from the country. Forestry Economics Services was awarded the contract in May 2000 for this important service. This contract has been extended for a further period up to June 2010.

The industry statistics to be reported on, will be the first time in the 30 years that South Africa has published this information that a private enterprise company has been entrusted with this important national task and is an excellent example of the standing that our company enjoys within our domestic industry.
